My only regret from this past weekend was not taking a picture of THE BEST dessert I have ever eaten...like ever...
Picture it: french toast like no other - custardy, crusty, moist with grade B maple syrup and the kicker - homemade buttermilk bacon ice cream on top. I died. Literally died.
All I can say is thank god I packed in 2 full days of skiing to burn off all that awesomeness! (Oh, and the oxtail gnocchi were equally as delish). If you are ever in the Ludlow VT area make sure to check out The Downtown Grocery (no website, but lots of reviews on Yelp).
My quads are burning like no other, taking today off, running with D-rock tomorrow - woop woop!
